A man who opened fire in a hospital car park in the US state of Montana, killing a medical technician and wounding two people who came to her aid, was identified as a recluse with no known connections to his victims.

Roger Sellers, 42, died six hours after the shooting in Glasgow, 50 miles south of the Canadian border, on Saturday, during a gun battle with police. Exactly how he died has not been revealed.
