Bush leaves White House for last time as president

George Bush has left the White House for the last time as president.

Shortly before 11am local time today, Mr Bush and his wife Laura departed the house accompanied by incoming president Barack Obama and Mrs Obama.

The four walked to a waiting limousine to make the short journey towards the swearing-in ceremony.
