Israel accused of shelling civilian 'safe house'

Israeli troops were today accused of evacuating more than 100 Palestinians to a house in Gaza then shelling it, killing 30 of them.

The UN Office for the Co-ordination of Humanitarian Affairs said the incident happened on January 4, the day after Israel began its ground offensive against Hamas militants.
