Masked gunman kills two teachers in Hungary
A masked gunman shot and killed two teachers – one the headteacher – at a school tonight, Hungarian police said.
Police spokesman Endre Kormos said the unidentified gunman also shot a security guard in the hand in the attack in the Budapest neighbourhood of Csepel.
Mr Kormos said the gunman fled after the shootings and there was no information yet on the motives for the attack.
Csepel is located on the northern tip of a large island in the Danube River and during the communist regime it was the hub of Budapest’s heavy industry.
A reward of five million forints (€18,500) has been offered for information leading to the capture of the assailant.
