Two people were killed after a pair of light planes collided in mid-air, causing one plane to crash into the backyard of a suburban Sydney house and burst into flames.

Two people were killed after a pair of light planes collided in mid-air, causing one plane to crash into the backyard of a suburban Sydney house and burst into flames.

Police said the two people on board the plane that crashed today in Casula, New South Wales, were pronounced dead at the scene. The other plane landed safely at a nearby airport.
