A 15-year-old girl has been charged after shooting dead a fellow pupil during an argument at a Florida high school.

A 15-year-old girl has been charged after shooting dead a fellow pupil during an argument at a Florida high school.

Teah Wimberly is charged with first-degree murder and discharging a weapon on school property, Fort Lauderdale Police said. The body of Amanda Collette, 15, was found on a hallway floor at Dillard High School at around 11am.

Wimberly left the campus and walked to a restaurant where she called authorities and told them “she had shot her friend”, said police spokesman Sgt Frank Sousa.

Authorities arrested her at the restaurant and recovered a gun.
