Boy, 8, in court for father's murder
A boy of eight is due in an American court today accused of murdering his father and another man.
The boy’s father will be buried in the tiny town of St Johns, Arizona at the same time as the hearing.
Police said the boy confessed to planning and carrying out the shooting his father, Vincent Romero (aged 29) and a co-worker who rented a room from him. The men were found dead inside Mr Romero’s home last Wednesday.
Authorities had no motive for the shootings.
Police Chief Roy Melnick told NBC’s 'Today' show: "There's no record of any problems in school, no reported abuse."
Reverend John Paul Sauter of St Johns Catholic Church said Mr Romero came from a family of hunters and taught his son how to use a rifle to kill prairie dogs.
