Aid operation launched as hurricane hits Cayman Islands

The Red Cross began an aid operation today after the Cayman Islands were lashed by a powerful hurricane.

The Caymans, a British overseas territory in the Caribbean, were pounded by heavy rain and winds in excess of 100mph.
