Sahara tourists snatched for €3.8m ransom

A group of 11 European tourists was kidnapped during an adventure safari deep in the Sahara desert today.

The Germans, Italians and a Romanian, with four guides and guards, were snatched in the remote south of Egypt and taken across the border into Sudan.
