Russian forces pull back in Georgia

Russian forces have pulled back from the centre of a town near Georgia’s capital after Russian President Dmitry Medvedev signed a ceasefire deal today.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said the Russian withdrawal to positions its forces occupied before the armed conflict erupted in the breakaway South Ossetia region will be contingent on further security measures, however.
