Severe storms and floods in Ukraine have killed 13 people, including five children, and left at least two missing.

The Emergency Ministry said in a statement today that five days of heavy rainfall in the Carpathian Mountains have caused flooding, mostly in areas near the Prut and Dniestr rivers, damaging more than 21,000 houses.
