One man was gored and four other people suffered minor injuries in the second bull-run of the San Fermin festival, the Spanish Red Cross said today.

One man was gored and four other people suffered minor injuries in the second bull-run of the San Fermin festival, the Spanish Red Cross said today.

Officials said the Spaniard was being treated at a city hospital after being gored in the thigh and was not in serious condition.

Four other Spaniards were treated for bruises.

Hundreds of people and six fighting bulls accompanied by steer sprinted the half-mile (850m) route through the cobbled streets of Pamplona in just over two minutes today.

The first run yesterday first run took over four minutes and left 13 people injured but none gored.

The running of the bulls became world famous with the publication of Ernest Hemingway’s 1926 novel 'The Sun Also Rises'.
