Ecuador’s Constitutional Assembly says it is granting former President Gustavo Noboa amnesty from legal charges that he allegedly mishandled the country’s foreign debt negotiations.

Ecuador’s Constitutional Assembly says it is granting former President Gustavo Noboa amnesty from legal charges that he allegedly mishandled the country’s foreign debt negotiations.

An Assembly statement posted on its website said it did not find anything criminal about Mr Noboa’s handling of negotiations that allegedly cost the Andean country US$9bn.
