Residents evacuated after gas suicide in Japan

Japanese police say they evacuated 34 people from an apartment building where a man apparently committed suicide by mixing chemicals and inhaling the fumes.

Police were called to the scene in Kanazawa City, in western Japan, early today after a resident found a sign on the door of an apartment warning of dangerous gas emissions.
