Shuttle set for night blast-off

Space shuttle Endeavour was poised for a rare night launch to the international space station and the longest visit ever to the orbiting outpost.

With no major problems reported, Nasa began fuelling the shuttle today. Good weather was forecast for the 2.28am (6.28am Irish time) lift-off tomorrow morning.
