Riot-hit US Embassy reopens in Belgrade
Diplomats said today the US Embassy in Belgrade has reopened after being targeted in anti-American riots.
Spokeswoman Rian Harris said diplomats were back at work today, but normal consular services will not resume for now.
Nationalist demonstrators angry with America’s recognition of an independent Kosovo broke into the US compound last week and set an empty office on fire.
One rioter died.
The embassy later evacuated family members and some members of staff from Serbia.
Mr Harris said a decision on their return has not yet been made.
