Man jailed for mixing abortion pills in yoghurt

A man was sentenced to 18 months in prison today for trying to make his girlfriend miscarry by mixing abortion pills in her food.

The woman had decided to have her baby even though the 27-year-old father-to-be felt he was not ready to be a parent, the appeal court in Sweden heard.
