Kenya rejects UN mediator
The Kenyan government has rejected South African Cyril Ramaphosa as the chief mediator in talks to end the post-election crisis, former UN secretary-general Kofi Annan said today.
He said in a statement: “Kofi Annan this morning accepted with regret the withdrawal of Cyril Ramaphosa, the South African businessman who was unanimously chosen ... to serve as the chief mediator.
