Italy: Lawyers urge review of Meredith suspect detention

Lawyers acting for the Italian man held in connection with the murder of Meredith Kercher said today that they would be happy for him to be released from prison and put under house arrest when the evidence against him is re-heard.

Raffaele Sollecito, 23, is one of three people currently in custody accused of sexually assaulting and murdering the 21-year-old exchange student from Coulsdon, Surrey, on the night of November 1.
