Pakistan govt to discuss elections

Pakistan President Gen Pervez Musharraf’s government called a meeting today to discuss a timetable for parliamentary elections.

The meeting came as the US and other Western allies stepped up pressure on the army chief to return to a path of democracy. Some nations were reviewing aid to the Muslim nation.
