Foot and Mouth confirmed on second farm in Surrey
Cattle culled on a second farm have tested positive for foot and mouth disease, the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs said today.
The farm, near Egham, Surrey, where animals were slaughtered yesterday on suspicion of having the disease, is adjacent to the first infected premises, Defra said.
The latest case comes after tests indicated the virus strain in the current foot and mouth outbreak is the same as that which infected two herds last month.
