Pakistani militant kills himself to avoid arrest

A former Guantanamo Bay inmate who lead pro-Taliban militants in Pakistan after his release died today when he blew himself up with a grenade to avoid arrest.

“My information is that Abdullah Mehsud killed himself,” said Atta Mohammed, police chief in the south-western town of Zhob.
