14 US troops killed in Iraq

The US military today announced the deaths of 14 American troops, including five killed in a single roadside bombing and one whose vehicle was struck by a rocket-propelled grenade.

The deadliest strike was a roadside bomb that struck a convoy in north-eastern Baghdad today, killing five Multi-National Division – Baghdad soldiers, three Iraqi civilians and one Iraqi interpreter, the military said in a statement.
