Woman dies in kebab shop explosion in Athens
A woman was killed and seven people injured when a gas canister exploded in a kebab restaurant in Greece, police said today.
The blast occurred late yesterday in the Nea Smyrni area of Athens.
Officials at a Red Cross hospital where the injured were taken, said three people were in a serious condition, while the other four had minor injuries.
Police said the cause of the explosion, which occurred in the kitchen of the restaurant, remained unclear and was being investigated.
