Protest as former Nazi starts work

Dozens of Italian Jews protested outside a lawyer’s office where a former Nazi officer has begun work.

The 93-year-old former SS captain, who is serving a life sentence in Italy for a 1944 massacre of Italian civilians travelled to the office on a motorbike on a work-release permit, outraging Jews and prompting Italy’s defence minister to summon a military prosecutor for an explanation.
