French Presidential hopeful erupts at TV goading
The woman bidding to be France’s first female president erupted in anger during a highly-anticipated TV duel with her conservative rival.
For nearly two hours last night, Nicolas Sarkozy, the man who this weekend stands a good chance of becoming France’s new president, prodded challenger Segolene Royal with a little sarcasm here, a comment about her partner there, all wrapped in a veneer of chivalry and always addressing her as “Madame”.
