At least 15 people were killed and 10 injured today when a bomb exploded on a bus in eastern Sri Lanka.

At least 15 people were killed and 10 injured today when a bomb exploded on a bus in eastern Sri Lanka.

The blast occurred in the eastern town of Ampara, said military spokesman Brig. Prasad Samarasinghe.

He blamed separatist Tamil Tiger rebels for the blast.

At least 15 people were killed and 10 wounded, eight of then seriously, according to an officer of the anti-terrorist Special Task Force.
