Iraq’s deputy prime minister survived a suicide bomb attack at a Baghdad mosque, news reports said today.

Iraq’s deputy prime minister survived a suicide bomb attack at a Baghdad mosque, news reports said today.

Police later said the deputy prime minister Mr Salam al Zobaie was wounded in the attack.

They said at least three people were killed and five wounded.

The bomber blew himself up as Mr al-Zubaie, a Sunni and one of two deputies to Prime Minister Nouri Maliki, and other worshippers were leaving a mosque adjacent to his house and office, police said.
