Twenty-six people were killed early today when a fire raced through a home for the elderly and disabled in western Latvia.

Twenty-six people were killed early today when a fire raced through a home for the elderly and disabled in western Latvia.

The Latvian State Fire and Rescue Service said the blaze started after midnight in Kuldiga county, about 60 miles west of Riga.
