US: Five children killed in house fire
Fire swept through a house in Waynesburg, south-western Pennsylvania, in the United States early today, killing five young children and one adult and injuring one other person, state police said.
The fire broke out shortly before 3:30am and several people in the house were able to escape, state Trooper Brian Burden said.
The five children were between the ages of 2 and 10, Trooper Brian Burden said. The adult killed was 26, he said.
Another adult was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital, Burden said.
Waynesburg is about 35 miles south-west of Pittsburgh.
