Mine explosion kills 32

A Columbian civil defence official says 32 miners were killed when an explosion tore through a makeshift coal mine.

So far bodies of only three of the miners have been removed because large amounts of trapped gas is making it difficult for work crews to penetrate the tunnels 400 metres below ground where the miners are buried, said Yesid Arias, who is overseeing rescue operations.
