Spanish government blames ETA for bombing
The Spanish government has blamed separatists ETA for a bomb attack at Madrid Airport.
Around two dozen people were hurt when a device went off in the parking lot of Richard Rogers-designed Terminal 4 and one person is missing.
It's understood that the attack followed a telephone warning to authorities.
The attack ends a nine month ceasefire by Basque separatists.
The Spanish prime minister, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero said the attack was “the most mistaken and pointless step the terrorists could have made.”
“Until there was an “unequivocal willingness to abandon violence”, there would be no talks, he said.
