Blair arrives in Baghdad on Middle East peace tour

British Prime Minister Tony Blair arrived in Iraq today on an unannounced visit to meet political leaders and show support for fragile attempts to stem the country’s seemingly unstoppable bloodshed.

Blair, who is travelling the Middle East to push for Israeli-Palestinian peace, flew into a heavily fortified Green Zone aboard a military helicopter under a strict news blackout.
