Palestinian PM vows not to recognise Israel

Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh today vowed in a speech in the Iranian capital that his Hamas-led government would never recognise Israel and will continue to fight for the liberation of Jerusalem.

“The (US) and Zionists … want us to recognise the usurpation of the Palestinian lands and stop jihad and resistance and accept the agreements reached with the Zionist enemies in the past,” Haniyeh told thousands of Friday prayer worshippers at Tehran University.
