France: Iran will face UN sanctions over nuclear programme

France’s foreign minister today said Iran would face UN sanctions over its nuclear programme, but major powers were still divided on how far punishment should go.

“The question is about the scope of sanctions but there will be sanctions,” the minister, Philippe Douste-Blazy, said on RTL radio.
