Top UN official meets Ugandan rebel leader

The UN’s humanitarian chief, Jan Egeland, met a Ugandan rebel leader wanted for war crimes today.

Egeland held talks with Lord’s Resistance Army leader Joseph Kony in a forest clearing in southern Sudan in a bid to help free women and children enslaved by the cult-like group during their 20-year conflict with the Ugandan government.
