Rains ease Kenyan drought

Rains in Kenya have eased a severe drought but almost three million people are still in need of help, the UN and Kenyan government said today.

The UN World Food Programme said it still needed more than €30m, despite 500,000 people no longer relying on handouts to survive the severe drought that has hit East Africa.
