Iraq death toll up to 27

A series of bombings and mortar attacks – including two suicide bombings in the northern city of Kirkuk, killed at least 27 people and wounded another 80 today.

A suicide truck bomb exploded in the morning in the centre of Kirkuk, 180 miles north of Baghdad, killing 18 and wounding 55, said police Brig Sarhat Qadir.
