A parked car bomb targeting a police patrol in eastern Baghdad today killed at least eight people and wounded another 17.

A parked car bomb targeting a police patrol in eastern Baghdad today killed at least eight people and wounded another 17.

The bomb detonated next to a passing Iraqi police patrol in the Zayona neighbourhood, said police Lt. Bilal Ali Majid.

At least three of the dead and seven of the wounded were police officers.
