EU issues warning over nuclear stand-off

The European Union said tonight that it is ready to hold talks with Iran but will not give the country an indefinite amount of time to resolve the stand-off over its nuclear programme.

EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana said he will be meeting Iran’s top nuclear negotiator in the coming days but stressed “that does not mean that Iran has indefinite time”.
