One injured in southern Turkey explosion

An explosion in a rubbish container in the southern Turkish Mediterranean city of Mersin injured one person today.

Police detained a man in connection with the blast, the Anatolia news agency has reported.

The reason for the explosion, the sixth to cause injuries in Turkey in a week, is not yet known.
