EU talks set to discuss troops for UN's Lebanon force
European Union diplomats will meet on Wednesday to consider the number of troops the 25 EU nations will contribute to an expanded UN peacekeeping force in Lebanon.
France had asked Finland, which holds the bloc’s rotating presidency, to move swiftly on meeting the UN need for more European soldiers for the force. At the meeting, EU nations will be able to compare their options for boosting the UNIFIL UN force.
