Beekeeper brings honeycombs - and 20,000 wasps - indoors

A German beekeeper attracted more than 20,000 wasps into his home when he brought his honeycombs indoors, but managed to escape injury, police said today.

Police in the central city of Hildesheim said they were alerted to the 91-year-old man’s predicament on Saturday afternoon by an observant neighbour.
