South Korea working on cruise-missile technology
South Korea is researching and developing cruise-missile technology, the defence minister said in a statement today.
The statement by Defence Minister Yoon Kwang-ung follows North Korea’s test of seven missiles on Wednesday.
Yoon did not elaborate on the reasons behind the effort, but it comes amid a general strengthening of the South’s missile capabilities.
Yonhap news agency also reported that Yoon told reporters that Seoul has tested missiles about a dozen times in Past three years.
The report did not specify what kind of missiles he was referring to.
