Floods death toll reaches 201
Villagers and rescue teams today searched for survivors on an Indonesian island hit by floods and landslides, as the number of dead reached 201, officials said.
More than 135 others were missing in southern districts of Sulawesi Island, with many feared to have been swept out to sea, officials said.
At least two roads were still blocked by landslides and flood waters reached over six feet in one district, rescue official Abdul Malik said.
In the worst-hit region of Sinjai, 175 people had been killed, while 15 others died in neighbouring regions.
