Saddam Hussein insisted the defence in his Baghdad trial should get as much time as the prosecution during an argument today between the chief judge and lawyers who were seeking to submit videos as evidence.

Chief judge Rouf Abdel-Rahman said he would not play the videos in court right away, telling them they should submit a written request to include them as evidence and chiding them for still trying to add more witnesses to the list of those to testify.
