US diplomat predicts European resolution on Iran

The US diplomat leading six-nation talks in Paris today on Iran’s nuclear programme predicted that European governments would prepare a resolution for the UN Security Council that could allow for sanctions.

“I think what we will see unfold is that European governments will put forward some form of Chapter 7 resolution,” US Under-secretary of State Nicholas Burns said in Paris before the talks.
