Seventh person charged over bank heist
A seventh person has been charged in connection with the £53m (€76.55m) Securitas depot heist in the UK, police said tonight.
Raluca Antonella Millen (aged 25) a warehouse worker, of Dudley Road, Tunbridge Wells, Kent, is charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and conspiracy to kidnap after being arrested yesterday.
Kent Police said Millen is being held in police custody and will appear at Maidstone Magistrates Court tomorrow.
Another woman arrested on Wednesday in connection with the robbery in Tonbridge, Kent, in February has been released without charge, taking the total number of arrests to 27.
The police spokeswoman said that since the robbery five men and two women had been charged with offences including kidnap, conspiracy to commit robbery and handling stolen goods.
About £20m (€28.89m) of the £53m (€76.55m) stolen in the raid – Britain’s biggest cash robbery – had been recovered, she said.
The other six people charged in connection with the robbery include Ermir Hysenaj, of Crowborough, East Sussex, who is accused of conspiracy to commit robbery. He is due to appear at a preliminary hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday.
Car dealer John Fowler (aged 60) of Staplehurst in Kent, is charged with conspiracy to rob, three counts of kidnapping the depot manager and his family, and handling stolen goods.
Car salesman Stuart Royle (aged 47) from Maidstone, Kent, unemployed Jetmir Bucpapa (aged 24) from Tonbridge, and 33-year-old roofer Lea Rusha, from Southborough, near Tunbridge Wells, are charged with conspiracy to rob.
Hairdresser Kim Shackleton (aged 38) from Maidstone, is charged with handling stolen goods.
They are due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on June 12 for a plea and directions hearing.
