A bomb placed underneath a car exploded in eastern Baghdad today, killing at least two policemen and wounding six civilians.

A bomb placed underneath a car exploded in eastern Baghdad today, killing at least two policemen and wounding six civilians.

The bomb targeted a police patrol in the neighbourhood of Suleikh, said police Capt. Ali al-Obeidi.

A roadside bombing in western Baghdad missed another police patrol, wounding a civilian driver instead, police said.

In the Dora district of southern Baghdad, police discovered two bodies, both shot in the head. Twelve other bodies were found in the same neighbourhood yesterday.
