Four police killed in protest over Freeport mine

Four policemen were hacked to death today after protesters demanding the closure of a US-owned gold mine in Indonesia’s Papua province clashed with security forces.

Two nearby hospitals reported at least 19 people injured, many with gunshot wounds.
